There is a Total Fire Ban in place for the entire Western Bay Of Plenty
                    15/01/10

This means all outside fires are prohibited.  It is an offence under the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977 to light an outdoor fire for any purpose.  Any person found responsible for lighting any material, including fireworks, or otherwise deliberately causing any other fire may be subject to prosecution.

People who hold approved fire permits should be aware these are revoked by the declaration of a Total Fire Ban

Please report immediately any fire to 111
